Been a while since I've been active here and a few things are probably going to change soon. First I have a good chunk of art from January all the way to August that I will be posting so expect an art dump soon. Secondly is post this art dump I really won't be active here anymore. FA has become more of a chore in the past year or so. There will still be the occasional dumping of art maybe once a year but other than that I will be pretty silent.
So what is next then? I'm moving most of my art posting/watching over to twitter as best I can in the coming months. You can find that conveniently located v here v

Posted 7 years agoHeyo I’m not dead. Anyways I’m following up that ‘Artist Recommendation’ thing I posted. I’m going to start with a cluster of my favorites who I repeatedly commission or create art I really enjoy. If this works out well I’ll come back and do it again for more that I have commissioned. Also if I mentioned you and you feel like I left out a vital piece of info, didn’t get something right, please do let me know so I can correct it. Working from my own memory is a treacherous thing. Also also if you weren’t mentioned but feel like you should be, I intend to write more of these, 4 is all I could do at once.

If you pay attention to my uploads at all you’ll notice he accounts for a good 50% of them. From the very lewd to the more story type pieces, I have immensely enjoyed every single one. His style is rather unique and it is one I have fallen in love with and can’t get enough of. Munks does not shy away from topics and always seems to be challenging himself to grow; looking for new poses, subjects to draw, etc. He is so very friendly to work with and must be the Flash’s alter ego because he can finish up a well-done piece in a blink. Occasionally streaming, most of the art flow is a sketch sent for approval followed up with the completion. In terms of price, the art is well worth what you are paying for.

Those of you who are still reading will now see the other 50%. Salkitten has an immense range in terms of subject and method of drawing, though my favorite are their painted pieces. I’ve been a fan of Sal from way back when I first joined the site and have seen everything from animation, to visual novels, funny little doodles, beautiful paintings, and more come from them. Working with Sal is always a pleasure, as they are so polite and flexible when it comes to commissioner request. They often stream commissions as well so they can be worked on and adjusted live. Like the prior, I hold the thought that any art from Sal is so worth it.

Moving on, we have Akitamonster. They do stunning scenery commissions, for a steal. Due to the high volume of demand for their art, the process of commissioning them is a little different. They open a huge list of current commissioners and waitlisted clients, working through one by one. Rather than charge by quality, they charge by the hour for the level of finish the art gets. The wait is nothing compared to receiving the finished piece. The backgrounds are gorgeous and the shading is incredible. While communication is a bit brief, just due to the scale of how many people commission this artist, they are still pleasant to talk details over with.

To wrap this short list up, we have SolarByte. I love commissioning them (and I really should again), as they are so full of energy and enthusiastic when talking out details. It really helps that we both share a huge interest in Pokemon, which is often the subject of the commissions I grab from them. One of the top things when it comes to SolarByte is their use of color. It is so vibrant and full of life in all the pieces that come to mind. Talking commissions over with them is so involved on both sides, and always leads to great art. I believe they are open for commissions right now so you should get over there.

So if you can't tell I have a borderline unhealthy habit of buying furry art. And I make the rounds between artists a couple times and a few people ask me for advice when dealing with artists. So I figure if there's a demand it would be helpful to put some up some reviews. None of these would be critical, they'd only highlight artists I have had the pleasure to do business with that was a positive experience (99%). What do you guys think? Interested in seeing these or shut up and go back to giving us fap material?

The Election thoughts
Posted 8 years agoI just have to lay it all out. Feel free to ignore if you are sick of hearing about it. Apologies to all the non-Americans who have to put up with our bullshit plastered all over the internet.
So here we are, its real, it happened.
I am actually sort of sick that this is the result. I am unsure what the future holds.
However let's touch base on a few things
-Attacking someone based on their choice is not ok
Whether someone voted Dem, Rep, or 3rd party; telling them they are stupid for doing so isn't right. People can vote for who they want, and they made their choice. The issues lie in why they voted for who they did. I felt that this campaign was marred by a lack of policies being talked about and primarily focused on the candidates as people alone. Highlighting Drumpf's behavior or Clinton's scandals or the Bernie fiasco. No one was really talking about policies of the candidates.
And I know people are angry, and some are getting violent. Please don't be those people, the only way we as a country get through the next 4 years is together and talking issues out, trying to understand one another. We are so, so divided as a country, the results show that; we as a people need to be better. This goes for everyone now by the way not just Americans.
We need to be better to one another. We are all humans, just because someone is different to you doesn't make them any less so. 2016 has been a year from hell and this problem is only getting worse, the "us" vs "them". Take a step back and look at us as a whole.

I'm not happy with the result, then again I wouldn't be either way. For me there was no "winning", just less losing.
However, the thing that really got me is how this country views voting as a joke. Reports are coming in that 15,000 people voted for Harambe... It is your right to choose but please try to be serious. I understand people look at the elections and electoral system and have no hope, saying their vote doesn't count. But if this election proved anything, it is that they do. So many states were right on the edge between the two. And that decided the winner.
Whatever though, I honestly don't know what to feel. My opinion is we went with the wrong choice, and I blame the way we as a culture look at being politically active, informed, and being decent human beings

Posted 8 years agoSo I played a fair bit today, and I figured I'd sum up my experience.
TL;DR It is a good game not great in it's current state but good
So I started off in a star system with 6 planets, and they all offered plenty of unique experiences like 110 C wind storms and really bizarre looking creatures and angry robots. The gameplay is solid though I found it awkward with the controller, I am a kb/mouse person. I haven't delved into it deeply but right now I am getting a strong minecraft vibe. Go collect resources to upgrade your tool to gather resources to upgrade your ship to not get killed by pirates and travel more to repeat the cycle. Right now it is lacking content I feel, something which the devs have said will be fixed in a later patch. This is not a multiplayer game right now. It is a very single player game.
Aside from gameplay, the sound design is great. The music fits really well and other than this one noise of what sounds like a big ass monster at night on every planet everything else sounds like it belongs, that one gets me cause I cannot identify where it comes from. Graphically... it is ok, there was not a huge amount of effort thrown towards texturing planets and it seems flat which is whatever. The creatures are ok and don't suffer from Spore Syndrome but some combos glitch a little. There is currently an issue when landing on a planet where the landscape will change its look when you are landing, where a large landmass was is now a bunch of islands with ocean in the middle or the purple rocky planet now has a bunch of green grass. There is also a bug where loading into planets the graphics "shimmer". Neither of these are game breaking but they are noticeable.
To sum up my thoughts. The game has potential especially when they add base building and multiplayer gameplay. With more content it could be great. But right now it needs something more. If you have been craving a great space exploration game, get it. If you have been looking for a space combat and multiplayer experience wait a little bit. If you hate space games congrats on getting this far. I was doubtful but I have hope that this could be a GOT contender.

Posted 9 years agoI am in a bit of a shock this morning. Though I am a US resident and citizen I have full UK citizenship as well. The only word I can really find is disappointed, like the sad let down by a good friend kind. I am worried what this means for the UK, if it will even remain that for long, and the rest of Europe.

500 Watchers Raffle
Posted 9 years agoSo I noticed that my watchers is getting rather close to 500 which for someone who does nothing I find slightly impressive. So I figured we should celebrate!
So here's the deal, I'll be holding a raffle once I hit 500 for a 2 character picture with both of our sonas from an agreed artist and content. This raffle is Opt out and only for watchers before 500. Whoever wins the raffle has 24 hours to respond or the next person will win.
If you want to opt out tell me in the comments, bot accounts watching me are automatically opted out.

Posted 9 years agoIts interesting if you're an art whore like myself, you can look through your gallery like the rings on a tree and see the changes to your character over time.
As a bonus it also gives you a nice timeline to see when exactly life left your body and you became a cold cynical shell of a human :D
